Rangitoto is a volcanic island in the Hauraki Gulf, which erupted on the seabed around 600-700 years ago, and produced a symmetrical island, overlooking the Auckland Harbour. The views from the summit (260m) are stunning. The hashes of Auckland visit this island every year, so this year we have opened it up to hashers from out of town and overseas, as a Postlube for NZ Nash Hash 25.

Sail to Rangitoto Wharf – 3 trails to Islington Bay
Walkers: Rangitoto Wharf to Islington Bay, round side of mountain. (1 to 1.5 hours)
Runners: Rangitoto Wharf to Islington Bay, via piss stop on summit. (1.5 to 2 hours)
Gut Buster: Rangitoto Wharf to Islington Bay, via McKenzie Bay Lighthouse, and Piss Stop on summit. (2 hours, plus)
Stay on the boat if you don’t want to walk/run.
Cost - $NZ80 (boat, piss, food) - Limited to first 80 registrations. Fewer than 20 places left.
